Required Viewing Movies: Review

Strengths

The film boasts beautiful cinematography, particularly during the wedding scenes.

The soundtrack features popular artists, which might appeal to fans of the Twilight saga.

For die-hard Twilight fans, seeing Bella and Edward finally get married fulfills a long-awaited wish.

Weaknesses

The plot focuses heavily on the drawn-out romance between Bella and Edward, which might feel tedious for viewers who aren’t invested in their relationship.

The special effects on the rapidly growing baby are unconvincing at times.

The film suffers from pacing issues, dragging in the middle section before rushing through the final act in preparation for part two.

Why The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn is Required Viewing

The unfortunate thing about Twilight Breaking Dawn – Part 1 is that it offers little for viewers who haven’t been following the Twilight saga. The film relies heavily on the audience’s existing attachment to the characters and their world. The slow pacing and focus on romance overshadow any potential for action or suspense. While it might be a suitable choice for a date night or family movie night it will be rabidly enjoyed by fans who are already invested in Bella and Edward’s story and well worth the watch.
