Synopsis
John McClane (Bruce Willis) arrives in Los Angeles on Christmas Eve to visit his estranged wife Holly (Bonnie Bedelia) at her workplace, a high-rise skyscraper owned by her corporation.
However, the festive gathering is interrupted by a group of terrorists led by the cunning Hans Gruber (Alan Rickman) who take over the building, holding everyone hostage.
